FestJourney is an independent festival-travel publication. We keep a sourced database of festival dates and editions, and publish the practical planning layer around them — accommodation zones, transport and closures, ticket phases, and realistic budgets.

Our Story

Created in 2026 and edited by Felix Hartmann, FestJourney started from a simple frustration: festival dates published online are frequently wrong, stale, or copied from a source that was already out of date. Booking a flight around a wrong date is expensive. So every date here is traced to a primary source and stamped with the day we last checked it — and when we cannot confirm one, we say so instead of guessing.

How the Editorial Workflow Works

Our workflow is built around verification rather than volume: reach the primary source, record it, date it, and re-check it on a schedule.

• Date Verification: Reaches organisers, town halls and tourism authorities for each edition, and records the source URL and check date behind every claim.
• Logistics Research: Works out accommodation zones, transport routes, last services and event-day closures from operator and municipal sources.
• Editorial Review: The named editor validates claims, removes stale details, and enforces clarity standards before publication.
• Recheck Queue: Every edition has a recheck date, and finished editions roll to the next year.
